PYSSUM is a non-profit voluntary organization focused on serving intellectually disabled individuals in society through its own guidelines, objectives, and resources. All activities and efforts at PYSSUM are planned by its board of directors, which consists of seven honorary members: the Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, and four members-at-large. The board is voluntarily guided by a governing body, made up of members chosen by the board of directors. For day-to-day support of activities at various centers, including the PYSSUM Child Development Centre (PCDC), PYSSUM Vocational Training and Rehabilitation Centre (PVTRC), and PYSSUM Research and Training Centre (PRTC), the PYSSUM board is represented by the Chief Functionary, who is unanimously chosen by the board on a voluntary basis.
